Queen Jenny’s Fabulous Shakespeare Production Guide covers all aspects of directing and producing a play and it provides a lot of the coaching that I would offer one-on-one at a fraction of the price. I consulted with multiple LEMI Trainers and Queens when writing the guide so it’s filled with our collective wisdom. It’s a pdf guide.
It covers some of the basics that we studied in Shakespeare Conquest training including why and how to study Shakespeare and principles of mentoring.
It also covers everything about the production of a play including:
Choosing, cutting, and casting the play
Creating a rehearsal schedule
All aspects of directing including blocking scenes, principle of directing and blocking, coaching actors, characterization, and giving notes
All aspects of producing including organizing the volunteers and their roles with costumes, props, sets, choreography, music, sound, lighting, hair, makeup, finding a venue, finances, tickets, concessions, publicity, and cast party
All aspects of stage management including training stage managers and crew
Includes many samples and resources
Includes a problems solving section for when issues arise
The Shakespeare Production Guide is $49 which is less than one hour of one-on-one coaching with me personally. So it’s a great deal!
